Items added to SoftPlan 2026 (Local Content)
These items are in addition to any items added by SoftPlan Systems as part of the 2026 program.
The items below have been added specifically to SoftPlan 2026 as supplied to Australia and New Zealand by Cadbuild.

Configuration
The initial configuration setup is aimed at a good starting point for most users.
As SoftPlan is customisable any settings that are not suitable for your Projects
can be altered as required.
There are many values that can be set, below are a few.
Most values / settings can be adjusted in File > System Options > System Options.
As well as File > Project Options and File > Drawings Options.
Area
To go along with the new area reference options.
Areas 1-8 have been set to reference the inside edge.
Areas 9-20 have been set to reference the outside edge.
Note: As with most items these settings can be changed as required.
Drawing Modes
The Drawing Modes that are displayed at the top right can be set,
the most common ones have been selected.
Keyboard Shortcut Keys
There are many predefined Keyboard Shortcut Keys, C= Copy, M=Move etc.
You can view the list by pressing Ctrl + /
From there you can print the list if desired.
Alt+S has been added for quick access to the Speed Note library.
Exterior Trim and Roof Options
As most materials for exterior trim and roof are metal the ColorBond® range of colours has been listed.
Roof options have each material set to a different colour this provides flexibility as like colours are grouped.
ColorBond® Textures are listed in Exterior Finish > Roof > ColorBond (Plain) and ColorBond Roofing (Corrugate)
Other profiles are in Manufacturer.
Draw > Wall - 90mm Cedar / Cement / Metal / Vinyl / Wood
5 New cladding walls with Cedar, Cement, Metal, Vinyl or Wood cladding.
Draw > Beam - HSS Beams
To take advantage of the HSS profile that has rounded corners, 6 new beams have been defined.
Speed Notes
37 New Speed Notes have been added to the BCA library.
A Shortcut Key has been added - Alt+S for quick access to Speed Notes.
To more closley align Speed Notes with Room Names some additional notes have been added.

To assist with the "Living Building Design" Standards, 870, 920 and 970 doors have been added to many of the libraries.
Previous 900mm wide openings have been replaced with 920mm

Garage Doors (Glazed)
A library of glazed garage doors has been added.
Garage Doors (Tall)
A library of tall garage doors has been added.
These doors are 2400mm high.
Draw > Detail > Profile
New Profiles have been added for Ceiling Strapping, Ridge Cap and Roof Material Profiles.
Draw > Detail > Profile > Ceiling Strapping
Ceiling Batten 22 added so when producing detailed 3D the profile will be displayed.
Draw > Detail > Profile > Ridge Cap
Tile Capping has been added to go along with the new roof tile profiles.
Capping textures are in Exterior Finish > Roof > Ridge Tiles.
As tiles have a greater thickness than metal a taller ridge capping profile has been added.
Draw > Detail > Profile > Roof Material Profiles
New library for Roof Materials, includes sheet metal, tiles and shingles.
The ability to apply a profile to roofing creates life like 3Ds.
Roof Material Profiles are selected when editing the roof.
3D - Edit Surface > Exterior Finish > Roof > Ridge Tiles
To enhance the 3D, textures have been added for Ridge Tiles.

- Hand Rails and Grip Rails listed seperately
- HSS Beams list seperately to Steel Beams
- New wall cladding - Cedar, Cement, Metal, Vinyl and Wood list seperately to existing siding (cladding)
