FLOORING SYSTEM

After the walls have been drawn, to define the shape of the plan, floor system mode is selected. All exterior and bearing walls are shown. SoftPlan's joist function builds the way you do. The joists are simply layed out by drawing a box, tracing the shape or using autotrace, for each joist section to be defined. SoftPlan lays out the individual joists in each section according to your parameters. When beams are required just select from the beam library and add to the flooring system where required.

The is no need for great accuracy as SoftPlan's clean-up feature will position the joists exactly where required.

Stairways or voids are simply boxed and SoftPlan will cut joists and add double joists where necessary.

Slabs
Slabs can be defined by simply selecting the slab function and either outlining the area to be poured or using autotrace. Structural slabs, with footings or non-structural slabs may be placed at the required level and all materials will be calculated in SoftList, the material list.

Each slab edge can have a different footing size and rebate. Internal beams can be positioned and dimensioned, providing a complete layout for workers on site. Diagonal measurements are produced simply by selecting any 2 corners of the building and indicating where to place the dimension numbering, this reduces inaccuracy on site.

Slab design simply and efficiently with SoftPlan.

SoftPlan does the rest of the work. Generating a complete framing diagram for each individual wall on the floor plan. Plan and elevation frame diagrams are automatically generated.

All openings and intersections are clearly and accurately defined, junction types and priority walls can be defined. Each panel is marked by it's wall type and is dimensioned using an accumulative and or staggered dimension string.

Additional studs and or modifications to existing studs can be accomplished. Junction styles, are selectable for each wall.

Ceiling and Roof Framing
Ceiling and roof framing allows for freedom of design, either stick framing or trusses can employed.

Framing schedules are automatically created for ceiling, roofing and flooring members. Member labels can also be displayed to assist with construction assembly.
